We're getting married!

Austin and I first heard about each other back in the fall of 2023. I had just started working at bpx Energy, where one of the very first friendly faces I met was Mason Karp. He quickly became a regular at our weekly “bpx buddies” lunches. Half-joking (but also a little serious), I told him he needed to “put me on one of his friends who loves Jesus.” Without even hesitating, he said, “I’ve got the guy.” That guy turned out to be his best friend — Austin. Over the next several months, Austin and I kept hearing about each other. Mason, being Mason, organized plenty of “casual” group hangouts, and somehow we always ended up in the same place at the same time. Finally, in September 2024, Austin asked me out — and the timing couldn’t have been more clearly the Lord’s. After the whirlwind of post-grad life and new seasons, we were finally ready to pursue each other intentionally and faithfully. The next eight months were full of belly laughs, deep conversations about Jesus, cheering at sports games, and plenty of Mexican food dates. On May 30, 2025, Austin asked me to marry him in the sweetest, most meaningful place: Nanny’s backyard on Lake Sam Rayburn — his happy place, and now forever mine too. This relationship has been one of the sweetest gifts God has ever given us — a true reflection of His kindness and faithfulness.
