We’re getting married!

Christopher and Sophie's story began in July of 2020, amidst the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the world around them feeling unsettled, they found a rare certainty in each other. Instantly drawn together, they quickly discovered they had more in common than they could have imagined, including a quirky coincidence: both had childhood nicknames given by their dads—Topher and Mopher (yes, seriously!). Those early days were filled with countless dinners, beach sunsets, and visits to art museums. They cherished each moment, knowing they had found something special. When Sophie returned to college for her senior year in the fall of 2021, Christopher didn't hesitate to make the 6+ hour drive every other weekend from Upstate New York to be by her side. They made the most of their time together, exploring the lakes, visiting wineries, and soaking in the joy of being surrounded by lifelong friends during their last college moments. After graduation, Christopher and Sophie decided to make Massachusetts their home. Settling into the charm of New England, they fell in love with the beauty of their surroundings and the proximity to neighboring states like Vermont and Maine. Their adventurous spirits have taken them across the Atlantic to England and even to Iceland, creating memories that they hold dear. In their everyday lives, Sophie has shared her passion for food and cooking with Christopher, while he has introduced her to his love for the great outdoors. They enjoy spending weekends being creative, whether through at-home paint nights or impromptu clay-making sessions, often topped off with Christopher showcasing his pizza-making prowess. Living in the bustling city of Boston has added to their happiness, creating cherished memories and solidifying their love for their adopted hometown. Christopher and Sophie couldn't be more thrilled to call Massachusetts home, where they continue to build a life filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures together.

On August 26th, 2023, Christopher decided to whisk Sophie back to Ridgefield, CT, where it all began. They had dinner at Tequila Escape, sitting at the same table where they nervously giggled through their first date three years earlier. Over tacos and margaritas, they laughed about how far they'd come since that fateful night. After dinner, they headed to their favorite spot: a quiet beach in Fairfield, CT. They spread out a picnic blanket, popped open a bottle of their go-to rosé, and queued up their favorite tunes. With just a few seagulls as their audience, Christopher started giving Sophie a crash course in skipping rocks. Suddenly, cheers erupted behind her. Sophie turned around to find Christopher down on one knee, holding out a ring and asking her to spend forever with him. Overwhelmed and overjoyed, she said yes, surrounded by their closest friends who had been hiding nearby. They celebrated late into the night on that beach, toasting to their future and reminiscing about the journey that had led them to this perfect moment. As the waves lapped at the shore, Christopher and Sophie knew that this beach would forever hold a special place in their hearts—a place where their love story had taken a beautiful turn toward forever.
