Austin and Marisa’s story began just like any true love story does - watching an NFL game on a Thursday night back in October 2019. From their corner of a South Philly bar, Austin (just starting his first year of law school at Villanova) and Marisa (in her second year of a master’s program at Temple) hit it off instantly. They bonded over their shared love of sports, a passion for petting new dogs and a mission to try all of the best restaurants in Philadelphia. Not long after, life threw them (and all of us) a curveball: a global pandemic, long-distance moves, and the balancing act of new jobs and big transitions. Just a month into dating, Marisa landed her dream internship with the NCAA (with interview prep help from Austin, of course), moving her to Indianapolis while Austin stayed in Philadelphia to finish law school. Through it all, they made it work - traveling near and far, collecting memories from countless adventures, and keeping a running list of highly detailed pizza ratings. In February of 2025, Austin surprised Marisa with a trip to their favorite city in the world - Venice, Italy. In the heart of "the floating city", Austin asked Marisa to marry him, and she said yes! Now, they live happily with their beloved pug, Winnie, and can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
