Brian & Katie both swiped right on each other on Tinder in November 2018. They hit it off right away & it was clear that this could be something special. Their first date happened to be the night of the infamous Lehigh-Lafayette rivalry football game (LeLaf as it's affectionately called). Earlier that afternoon, Katie was at the game with friends from school & Brian was at the game as a member of the Lehigh Marching 97. The very first time Katie saw Brian in person, he was in his marching band uniform with his suspenders hiking his pants all the way up, carrying his shako (the feathery hat thing), and had sweat dripping down his face - and that's when she knew, he was the one for her. He took her for dinner later that night at Mama Nina's, a nice Italian restaurant in Bethlehem. The waitress had to come back to their table 4 times because they couldn't stop talking long enough to look at the menu & order. Brian spilled bruschetta all over his pants, Katie *allegedly* ate garlic bread (she didn't!!), and they ended up talking in the parking lot of her dorm building with his headlights on for so long that his car battery died. They ended up borrowing jumper cables from a friend and using wiki-how to figure out how to jump his car. It was the perfect first date & set them up for a relationship filled with laughter, friendship, and all the garlic bread a girl could dream of. Fast forward over 7 years filled with 4 1/2 years of long distance dating, multiple college degrees, new careers, a move to Brooklyn, and the most beautiful proposal last November - they're so excited to be planning their wedding and looking to the future!
