How will we get to and from the wedding site?

Answer

We have shuttles that will pick up in four locations: Mears Great Oak Landing, Holiday Inn, Brampton Inn and Fountain Park in downtown Chestertown. See the "Travel" section of the site for pickup times and locations. For those staying anywhere else, you must arrange your own safe transport - THERE IS NO UBER AVAILABLE! DO NOT use Apple Maps to navigate, it will send you to the wrong place. Can I/we share an Airbnb or other b&b with someone else?

Answer

Absolutely! Lots of folks looking for ways to save some money. We have created a private Facebook group called Adina & Christian Say I do! The purpose of it is for people to "network" together to arrange for shared rides, airport pickups, and shared accommodations, even if you don't know them personally yet. I mean, how bad could anyone be? They're OUR friends! Don't be shy! Post on the FB page if you want roomies or a designated driver!

I really want to carpool from Philly/NYC/Boston/DC/California - or wherever. How can I find a ride?

Answer

Post to our private Facebook group, Adina & Christian Say I Do!, and ask or offer rides...we have guests coming from 22 states and at least 6 countries...Surely, there are people from your locale (except Louisiana...there's only two of you from there...sorry) :)

Heck yeah! We may be out in the sticks, but there's a fire pit down by the Bay, and we'll have all the fixin's for S'MORES! Bring a hoodie and a koozie, and meet us down there...but pre-plan for how you'll get back to where you're staying, as the shuttles will have departed by then and we need everyone to stay safe!

Can I bring my kid(s)?

Answer

No. This is a kid-free event. Let your hair down and enjoy a night off! If this causes you childcare issues, please talk to us and we likely can put you in touch with some resources for local babysitters!

Why Chestertown?!?

Answer

The Great Oak Manor and the town of Chestertown is where we went on our first vacation together, and has become an incredibly special place to us both (and our dog, Melodrama) over the years. We come down often for a rural and peaceful getaway, and have "bonded" with the town and area. The Great Oak hosts have always treated us so kindly, and we just feel at home there. We hope you'll love it as much as we do!

I'm obsessed with my job and my cell phone. Is there reception down there in them there cornfields?

Answer

It ain't great. We'll be honest with you. So, be prepared to just ignore your phone. There's wifi on the property, but with our large party there, it likely will be super slow, 'cause it already is when there aren't 200 people trying to get on it! Prepare your mind for a less-connected weekend. Our wedding is a device-free zone anyway, so, heck, leave it at your hotel room!

How will the whole Jewish/Catholic thing work?

Answer

The ceremony will be free from religion itself, but will incorporate some beautiful and meaningful traditions. We will invite absolutely everyone to join us in a raucous HORA dance, so watch it on You Tube if you've never yet done one! We will do our best to ensure everyone understands the meaning behind what is happening. Important to note: please do not stand as Adina enters the ceremony - remain comfortably seated, so everyone can see (and so she doesn't feel weird).

What's the wedding hashtag?

Answer

There isn't one! We are asking that everyone download the app The Guest, where any photos you take throughout the night will automatically upload, so we will get to see the wedding from your eyes. It is our preference that we be the first ones to post photos of our wedding on social media...so, no hashtags for us!

Answer

The Guest app, downloadable on iPhones and Androids, is an app that allows you to have all photos you take the night of the wedding into an app so that everyone can see what you saw. It's a private version of social photo sharing - just for the wedding guests! Thanks in advance for joining us in this!
