The Proposal
While on vacation with Holly's family in Oak Island, we had plans to take our usual family photos. That wasn’t unusual, but doing it on a Monday? That was a little suspicious. Holly's mom and sister played it off perfectly, saying we should just "get it out of the way" so we could relax the rest of the week. After dinner, we headed down to the beach early to pick a good spot. We made our way to the sand, and Holly plopped her stuff down at the first spot she found. Austin pointed farther down the beach, and though Holly's stubborn self-wanted to stay put, she reluctantly followed.
As we walked closer, we came upon roses in the sand, a blanket laid out, champagne waiting, and then, Austin down on one knee. What Holly didn’t realize in that moment was just how much thought and planning Austin had put into every single detail. He had coordinated everything perfectly, even bringing our friends and family together to celebrate afterward. It was the most special day, full of love and joy.
