Emily and Nick were introduced by a mutual friend ( Best man Alex ) to go as a group on a haunted hayride before homecoming sophomore year of high school. Emily definitely fell first and it took some convincing on Nick's end. The rest of you know how this story goes! Exactly ten years later to the date we were going to get to celebrate with you on our original wedding date of 10.16.2020.

Nearly a decade later and after countless conversations about their future, how could Nick catch her off guard for a proposal? Call and ask her boss to keep her late at work in Ann Arbor on a Friday before the holiday weekend. From there he managed to gather their families and stage the proposal right in her own backyard. With help from both of their families Nick was able to surprise her with rose petals and nine candles (for the nine years they have been together) and ask the most important question. She said yes, three times to be exact, with their families able to witness and an impromptu engagement party with friends and family afterwards at Madison's of course.

We couldn't be more excited to celebrate with our family and friends on June 18th 2021 at Shepherd's Hollow in Clarkston, Michigan. You all are so important to us and we want to share our day with you, as restrictions continue to change and update we will make decisions to make our guests feel safe and comfortable. We are so excited to celebrate with our closest family and friends!
