After a month on Facebook Dating, which both Alyssa and I had only joined to "check it out", I messaged Alyssa the morning of Halloween. We messaged all day and while at a Halloween party I decided that I was going to ask Alyssa to meet up with me "sometime soon". I was tired of spending so much time talking to girls who had no real interest in meeting up, so I wanted to make sure that I wasn't wasting my time (for lack of a better way of putting it lol). Thankfully, I wasn't, Alyssa agreed to meet me on one condition - we had to speak on the phone before we met up. So that night, after the Halloween party I went home and called her. We spoke for about two hours asking each other every question in the book to make sure that our expectations, personalities, and goals lined up. At the end of the call Alyssa agreed to meet me. We met for dinner the next day, 11/1/2019 at Nifty Fifties. Fancy, I know lol. Upon our arrival we texted to let one another know that we were there. As I got out of my car, I realized that Alyssa had parked next to me! We both walked towards one another and right into the restaurant. No hug or anything because clearly, we both had first date jitters lol. We ate dinner - I ordered way too much and Alyssa ate like a mouse lol. After dinner we sat in my car and talked for another hour or so. How we still had so much to talk about after spending 2-3 hours on the phone the night before still blows my mind. We talked about anything and everything. It just flowed, which was nice. The rest is history... we fell right into the typical lesbian timeline of course lol. By the second weekend in November, I was meeting her family and we were dating exclusively. I asked her out 11/11/2019. She moved in by 8/1/2020. We were engaged by 12/12/2020. And will now be married on 10/22/2022. <3
