It took a year for the surliest bartender at Cole's and the bubbly hostess with ever-changing hair to notice one another, but thanks to a shared love of The Allman Brothers, the outdoors, and adventure, they've never looked back. What started as shared stories after Lissa's brunch shift turned into the magic trick of fitting a woman's bicycle with 26" tires into the back seat of a 2004 Ford Focus. Neal embraced Lissa's multifaceted life as a mother and creative community member, while Lissa connected with Neal's musical tastes and sense of adventure. Over the eight years they've been together, they've raised Eben from adolescence to young adulthood, while earning a bachelor's degree, finding new careers, attending a steady stream of live shows, and exploring the beauty and heights of the Adirondacks and other regions. From Quebec City, Quebec, to New Orleans, Louisiana, and Shaftsbury, Vermont, to Seattle, Washington, thousands of miles, multiple states (and a few provinces) since they first met, magic continues to be the basis of their relationship and the family they share.
