Bride & Groom
While the bride and the groom need no formal introduction, we are thrilled to introduce you to some of our closest family and friends that will have a dedicated role throughout our wedding!
Matron of Honor
Saugus, MA Mackenzie may not have been blessed with biological sisters, but she was blessed with cousins like Katie. Her older cousin by a few years, Katie has been there from the start. Childhood games became teenage adventures, which turned into a lifelong friendship. Katie is married to Tom, since 2013, and together they have their son, Max, Mackenzie’s godson.
Matron of Honor
Coral Springs, FL Another one of Mackenzie’s life blessings without biological sisters has been her cousin Lori. Lori has been a role model, a friend, a shoulder to cry on, and the source of some of the best advice Mackenzie has received. Lori is married to Jared, and they reside in Florida with their son, Cole, and Corgi, Stanley.
Maid of Honor
Jenkintown, PA Mackenzie and Amanda met after joining their sorority their sophomore years at the University of Hartford. A series of adventures ensued and they’ve been great friends (and sisters) ever since. “Love that is ever steadfast” -Delta Zeta Creed
Best Man
Washington, DC Well, it is fair to say that Andrew has always known Jamie. Since their parents brought Jamie home as the best (worst?) Christmas present of all time in 1990, Andrew has been an incredible older brother. Not once has there been a confirmed attempt at fratricide, and only rarely has Jamie's near-constant disruption of Andrew's life been met with anything other than patience and love. Now, Andrew is the caring presence he has always been for Jamie to both his sister-in-law Sophie and his nephew Harry.
Groomsman
Jackson Hole, WY George & Andrew met while on the Science Olympiad Team in High School in NYC and have kept in touch ever since. Since high school they’ve enjoyed plenty of adventures- from building trebuchets in the basement of George's Family's house to whitewater rafting and hot air ballooning. George now lives in Jackson Hole with his wife Nicole. George & Nicole can take credit for getting Andrew online where he met Mackenzie!
Mackenzie’s Something Blue
While Mackenzie and Andrew’s wedding party is on the small side, Dominique and Michelle will be participating as Mackenzie’s Something Blue. When they met in 2010, while in the same sorority, little did they know they’d form a life long friendship, supporting and loving each other through adult life. Mackenzie couldn’t say I Do without these two 💕 Dominique Griffin, of Tampa, FL is Mackenzie’s pledge sister, but their friendship was solidified walking to class one day their junior year. Ever since, their friendship has stood the test of time and life’s challenges, while still having a lot of fun. Michelle Galamidi, neé Brenner, of Great Neck, NY is also Mackenzie’s sorority sister. Their friendship grew while in school together, but really thickened through their adult lives and plenty of adventures.
Parents of the Bride
A shining of example of love and marriage, Mackenzie’s parents were married for over 40 years. They are Mackenzie’s support system, her biggest fans, and demonstrated a love worth holding out for. While Lee Ann passed in 2024, she will be joining our festivities in all of our hearts.
Parents of the Groom
Charter members of the Andrew Elish Fan Club, Harry and Nora went to college together but really did not meet until a party two years after graduation. They celebrated 40 years of marriage last autumn, during which time they have supported each other’s careers, laughed a lot and raised two amazing men. They so look forward to celebrating Mackenzie and Andrew's wedding at the end of the summer and to welcoming another member to their family.
