For our ceremony and reception, we’d appreciate if guests dressed in formal or cocktail appropriate attire. Please keep in mind that our ceremony, cocktail, and reception will all be outside, weather permitting. Please take this into account when choosing your attire, especially shoes for the evening. There is no dress code for any other events, please come in what makes you most comfortable!
We can only currently accommodate guests who are named on the invitation or on the RSVP page. In some cases, that may include a date or children under 18. If you have questions about who is invited, we encourage you to check the RSVP page on our website.
We have secured a block of rooms at Mystic Marriott Hotel and Spa in Groton, CT. These rooms are offered at a discounted rate and are limited, so we encourage people wishing to stay here during our wedding weekend to book early! Mystic, CT is a popular tourist destination and there are a number of hotels and vacation home rentals in the immediate area. Please see our Things To Do tab for specific recommendations.
Absolutely, please do! Everyone enjoying our wedding experience, especially the food, is of utmost importance. As the bride is gluten-free, we completely understand the challenges associated with making sure there is an accommodating menu. There will be a section on the RSVP page to add any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or preferences. However, if there is something that you’re not sure we can accommodate, please reach out via our wedding email as soon as possible at theelishesest2025@gmail.com.
Both our ceremony and reception are located at Jonathan Edwards Winery in North Stonington, CT. There is plenty of parking at this location. There is also parking available at the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa in Groton. This is where our room block is reserved and where the bride and groom are staying. There will be a shuttle to and from the hotel & the vineyard the evening of the wedding. Please check the schedule tab for more details of the shuttle. If you are planning to travel into downtown Mystic at any point (and we encourage you to do so, we love to explore Mystic!) please keep in mind that this is a popular tourist destination and that it will be a holiday weekend. Parking may be limited, so we encourage carpooling whenever possible. There is often parking that can be found on the side streets off the Main Street, if you’re willing to walk a little bit! We also highlight some parking lots on our Local Things To Do Page. Please consult the individual websites of any attractions you plan to visit for parking information.
Short answer - yes! Mystic is a village in CT that is made up of a portion of Groton on the west side of the bascule bridge and Stonington on the east side of the bridge. Also local are other villages, including Noank and Groton Long Point (both in Groton). Our wedding reception is in North Stonington, which is technically separate town. In true New England fashion, they’re all very close to one another.
We are hosting an after party at the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa on Sunday night, after the reception. We have a private space reserved. We plan to be there ~11pm until whenever the party stops! We will be hosting a brunch the following day at the hotel from 9am - 11am. We would appreciate if you RSVP to each of the events separately on the RSVP page. There are other events that weekend for immediate family and the bridal party. Separate details will be provided for those activities.
