Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting a semi-formal, garden party, dress code for our evening. Please wear summer colors and avoid taupe, white and sage green. We also ask that you do not wear jeans, shorts, or sneakers.

Where should I park?

Answer

There will be a parking lot across the road from the Mansion that you will be able to park in. It is a close walk to the venue so you won't have to worry about sweating in the hair and makeup you took hours to perfect! If you'd prefer to avoid driving, our venue is easily accessible by Uber or Lyft.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

East Aurora in the summer is not humid and between 60 to 80 degrees depending on the time of day. The ceremony and dinner will be held outside while the cocktail hour and dancing will be inside the big house (which doesn't have AC!).

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will being at 5:00 PM, so please arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony begins to get settled in.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We have addressed the invitations to people we would love to come. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Please ensure that you are RSVPing for yourself & your guest. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

What will the wedding timeline be like?

Answer

Following the short, 20 minute ceremony, there will be a cocktail hour that will last an hour. Following cocktail hour will be the presentation of the bride and groom followed by dinner. Once dinner is over then the first dances will happen and the best part of the party begins!

There are no hotels available, what should I do?

Answer

Since EA is such a small town, lodging options are limited. If you are unable to find a hotel room in EA we recommend looking at different hotels or Air BnBs located in Orchard Park, Downton Buffalo, Elam, Lackawanna, or any other neighboring city.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Seltzer, beer, red and white wine and champagne will all be available at the bar along with water, tea and lemonade.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you please put your phone away during the ceremony to fully enjoy it with us. There will be a photographer present getting pictures that you will be able to view.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you can't make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no" so that we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Where will the rehearsal dinner be held?

Answer

The rehearsal dinner will take place at the guest house next to the mansion. You can think of this as a trial run for the ceremony since they are located on the same property! Please feel free to come dressed casual and ready to have a good time!
