A brief wedding rehearsal will take place at Smoky Cove Lodge, and we warmly invite all immediate family members and the bridal party to join us. It’s a great chance to go over the details and enjoy being together before the big day. Immediately following the rehearsal, enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Chef Gavriel of High Country Culinaire while taking in the beautiful mountain views.

Semi-formal Attire
We are thrilled to invite you to our wedding at the beautiful Parker Mill, a converted 1930s lumber mill. The ceremony will be held in a charming covered open-air chapel, perfect for the mild October weather in Western NC, with average highs of 69° and lows of 47°. Plenty of parking is available on-site. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ceremony starts to find your seat. Enjoy acoustic music from longtime friends of the Newsome family, Alathea, a folk-duo rooted in the Appalachian Mountains.

After the ceremony, join us for a cocktail hour on the outside patio or inside cocktail room. The celebration continues right after cocktail hour. Take your seats in the main reception hall where we'll enjoy delicious farm-to-table Appalachian cuisine served up family and buffet-style. Quench your thirst at our two open bars, offering signature his-and-hers drinks and a selection of wine and beer. After savoring your meal, hit the covered indoor/outdoor dance floor to dance the night away with the newlyweds. The festivities will wrap up around 10 PM, but if you’re up for more fun, join the bridal party up at The Smoky Cove Lodge for late-night games and lively conversation. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
