How We Met

Eeeew cooties!!

Kevin and I first met at summer camp as kids. I thought he was the coolest boy with long green hair around and he thought I was the most annoying girl on the planet...Fast forward a few years later and we are both now attending different high schools completely unaware of each others existence until we met for the second time at a variety show being held at a local school where Kevin and his old band were performing. I did not recognize him at first, but all I knew was that when I saw him walk across the room time stopped and my heart started to beat faster than it ever had before. It truly was love at first sight.

Our First Date

First comes love then comes marriage!

Our first date was when I was 16 and Kevin was 17 years old. We went to the movie theater to see a "scary" movie. Kevin was a true gentlemen holding doors for me, paying for the tickets, and he even held down the theater seat for me to sit. It did not take long for either of us to realize that this was the real deal and I believe later that evening I even told my Mom that I was going to marry this boy someday.

The Proposal

Really it was perfect

Kevin took us out for my birthday dinner to our favorite Mexican restaurant and then for ice cream. I thought the night would end there but I was wrong. After finishing our ice cream he then asked if there was anything else I wanted to do? I said no and he quickly replied "I have an idea!" he then asked me to put on two eye patches because he wasn't able to find a blindfold which I found hilarious. He then drove for what felt like forever and of course I could not see where we were going because I was wearing an eye patch over each eye. Then the car stopped and he helped me out, I was still not allowed to take the eye patches off. He then began to tell me a story about a boy and a girl. A love story. Our love story. I slowly took the eye patches off and saw him kneeling on one knee in front of me. He took my hands and professed everything a woman would ever need to hear from the man she is going to marry. He took out the ring from his pocket and asked me to marry him. I of course said "Yes!". Once we both calmed down enough to stop shaking I was able to take in our surroundings which is when I realized he had driven us to where we had our first kiss. It was perfect.
