Village Pub = Mules and yummy pretzel bun sandwiches Fort Louise = Rich flavors and nice cocktails Dose = Espresso, dram bar (unsure what that actually means) and a dank rosemary biscuit sammy Mitchell's Deli = Speaking of dank sammies, this place is good. Real good. Fond Object = Vintage finds and records. And goats in the back yard.
Five Points
Five Points Pizza = In definite contention for best pie in town. Pizza window open late, for all you tonky honkers. The 5 Spot = part of the Juliana and Andrew historical tour (we met here!). Good dive with good tunes. Bongo East = vegetarian breakfast bagel sandwich will be just what you need first thing in the morning. Relaxed coffee shop ambiance to boot. Duke's = Vibey bar with vinyl dj nights, great drinks, and bangin deli sandwich counter. That's right, it's in the bar. And it's awesome. Marche = Delicious french fusion brunch. Bon Apetite. Fanny's House of Music = the best place to find weird vintage instruments that you never knew you wanted. I Dream of Weenie = Hot Dog dreams do come true. Seriously you need to see this place. Try the "Frank and to the Point".
Hillsboro Village
This neighborhood is a hot bed of shopping and food. Here's some of our favorites: Pangaea = An eclectic boutique that has been a local favorite for gifts and fashion for 30+ years. Juliana was a fixture here for her first few years in Nashville. She loves the Pangaea crew dearly. Hi guys! Belcourt Theatre = Nashville's independent arts cinema. Fido Coffee = Nashville classic. Food and drink for all times of day. Juliana's tip: "try the vegan beet muffin; it tastes like earth and chocolate in the best way possible."
Frist Center for the Visual Arts
Spectacular art deco building that hosts a variety of art exhibits and is a favorite of ours. Hot tip: first weekend discount for Bank of America card holders gets you in free.
Shelby Bottoms Nature Center & Greenway
One of our happy places.
Centennial Park
Full scale replica of the Parthenon. Earning that "Athens of the South" nickname (don't tell Athens, GA).
Broadway
Yee-haw! Hit the honky-tonks on the quintessential "Nashvegas" strip. Yes, the Buy one pair of boots, get two free is real. We like Robert's and Acme Feed and Seed.
