The venue is approximately 25 minutes away from the hotels. There will be three buses leaving from 180 Oak Ave (next to the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort) no later than 3:20pm. Boarding will begin at 3pm. All three buses are leaving at the same time and making one outbound trip, so please do not be late. If you miss the bus, Uber is unlikely to get you there in time. Return trips will start at 9pm, and run through 10pm.
As of August 1, 2024, Jackie and Ryan have switched venues, which means the address on our invitations is no longer accurate. San Diego's climate is often described as a "coastal desert". Temperatures range from the high-70s during the day, to the high-50s during the early morning and evening hours. Most festivities are outdoors, and the temperature can drop quickly after sunset, so we recommend bringing pants, layers, and a light jacket. Outdoor spaces at bars and restaurants almost always have umbrellas for shade during the day, and heaters to keep you comfortable at night. Generally, pants and a light top will be fine for after dark unless you run cold.
Carlsbad. Any hotel or rental with a San Diego mailing address will be 40 minutes or more from the weekend action, and nighttime transportation may be unreliable.
Not unless you want to! Carlsbad Village is very compact, and there are many shopping and dining options within a 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotels.
