Anna and Max were introduced to each other through mutual friends at a house party in 2021. Max had recently moved to Madison for work and Anna was in the 3rd year of her graduate program at the University of Wisconsin. A brief introduction at a house party quickly led to a weekly tradition of watching Harry Potter on Tuesday nights. Their romance kindled for several months through their shared interests in trivia nights, rec sports, Mario Kart, card games, and Saturday bar crawls followed by binge watching TV the next day. Max and Anna moved in together in 2023 with Anna's beloved cat, Chonk. Max proposed to Anna in Door County (Northern Wisconsin) on September 6th, 2025. Max suggested a quick walk along the shoreline before dinner which, considering it was 45 degrees and cloudy, was no easy feat. The only other patron on the beach was holding a camera the size of a microwave, which was just one of the not-so-subtle giveaways of the weekend, but the moment was perfect. The two were smiling ear to ear as they called their families and shared their most exciting news, and the sun even came out for the perfect golden hour bliss! The rest of the weekend was spent enjoying local food, playing mini-golf, horseback riding, hot tubbing, and hiking along the Green Bay. Anna and Max are so excited to share their special day with all their favorite people, get ready to celebrate!
