Our Story

First comes prom, then comes marriage.

As many of you know, we attended Wayzata High School together. We met when Matt was a senior and me, a sophomore, in a gym class called "Lifelong Activities." We slowly started talking and hanging out. Getting ice cream, going for rides around Plymouth, going to movies, spending time at the lake, and more. That spring of 2017, Matt asked me to his senior prom, by writing “Prom?” on the tailgate of his beloved first truck. Prom was exciting and fun, and we spent the rest of the weekend up north at the Cossette’s cabin with our prom group. Fast forward 3 years, we were both attending the University of St. Thomas, Matt for mechanical engineering and me for business, again in our Senior and Sophomore years, respectively, when we reconnected at a party near campus. From there on, we slowly began to rekindle our high school romance. Come to find out, we lived on the same street! Selby Ave. will always hold a special place in our hearts and remind us of our college days spent at St. Thomas. We began dating in July of 2021, almost 1 year after reconnecting, and the rest was history. After about 2 and a half years together (officially), Matt popped the question on March 1, 2024 on the pointe of Excelsior Commons surrounded by rose petals and the sun setting over Lake Minnetonka. It was absolutely perfect, and by far the easiest "Yes" of my life. The rest of the night was spent seeing friends at Maynard's, and then our families. Together, we have spent the last 3+ years traveling, spending lots of time up north with family and friends, snowmobiling, taking to the trails exploring Minnesota, now wedding planning, and much more. We cannot wait to celebrate our love with all of our closest family and friends. Each and every one of you has played a crucial role in our relationship. We thank you for being a part of our love story!
