Things To Do

Make sure to check out a few of our favourite spots in Taormina!
Corso Umberto

Corso Umberto

Corso Umberto, Taormina, Sicilia 98039, Italy

This is the Main Street, it is entirely pedestrianised, so a lovely space to spend time. We’d always recommend you stay as close to this street as possible as it comes alive at night with beautiful restaurants and quirky bars. So leave the beach for the day time! _

Villa Comunale di Taormina

Villa Comunale di Taormina

Via Bagnoli Croci, Sicilia 98039, Italy

This is Taormina’s public gardens, a great meeting spot for families, but also a curious place with lots to explore and a fab view of Etna. There is a shady play park here for the kids, but also a pop up called ‘Bar Mille Luci’ that sells everything from coffee and snacks to one hell of a strong Aperol Spritz! _

Cable Car - Taormina Mazzarò

Cable Car - Taormina Mazzarò

Taormina, Sicily 98039, Italy

This is the best way to get from the Corso Umberto to the beach, it takes minutes from the top to the bottom. You can buy tickets from the machines for €10pp return, kids under a certain height travel free. _

Isola Bella

Isola Bella

109 Via Nazionale, Sicilia 98039, Italy

Isola Bella is the perfect location for a beach day, with a bit of sightseeing. Take the cable car down to the coast and walk up the road to the right, then head down the steps to the beach. Here you can relax on the beach, have a dip in the sea, rent a kayak or paddle board. You can pay to go onto the Isola Bella island and visit the famous ‘house’. If you’re here for a week, it’s worth a trip - you’ll never forget it. Make sure to take beach footwear as the shore to the island isn’t always above water. The blue and white sun beds here are €15pp, but you can also just take a towel to lie on or splash out for the beach club. _

Lido Mazzarò

Lido Mazzarò

Via Mazzaró, Mazzarò, Sicilia 98039, Italy

From the cable car, head to the beach via the terracotta steps. Top tip: At the bottom of the steps, take a left for the blue umbrellas - these are cheaper at €20pp, we also prefer the restaurant on this side. A bottle of cold ‘La Fuga’ white wine is the grooms favourite. If you head to the right to the blue and yellow umbrellas, the sun beds are €30 each, but your will get service to your lounger for food and drink. _

La Napoletana

La Napoletana

Piazza Varò, Taormina, Sicilia 98039, Italy

A lovely spot for a great pizza! It’s a little above the Corso Umberto so away from the street if crowded. Plenty of choice and absolutely no complaints from us! _

Teatro Antico di Taormina

Teatro Antico di Taormina

1 Via Teatro Greco, Taormina, Sicilia 98039, Italy

A must-see tourist activity in Taormina. Tickets are around £12 each and it’s best to visit early morning to beat the queues and the heat! _
