YES! We are going to try to make this as safe as possible! We are taking into consideration your health first and foremost! We will have a live ceremony online, as well as a safe in-person ceremony. Click this link to watch an explanation of our precautions! https://youtu.be/WSHg16nU_fc
Yes. If you are close to people and unable to social distance, we require masks. We will have our very own Hidden Vista Reusable Masks that are available to you upon check-in, free of charge. We ask that you wear either our face-masks or your own. During dinner, the ceremony, and the social hour masks are not required (still advised), but as long as you are 6 feet apart from people outside of your party, they are optional.
The answer is Yes and Yes! Bring your own because you can never be too cautious. However, we will have hand sanitizer stations that are automatic, no touch sanitization.
Originally the wedding was to be indoors, but due to Covid, our plans changed. The ceremony will be performed outside in a semi shaded area. There will be plenty of water provided to keep everyone cool however. The social hour will be outdoors with lawn games and hors d'oeuvres. The reception however will be inside of a tent with AC! Check the weather before attending and dress accordingly. Texas is tricky and it is unknown what the temperature could be in late September.
We are currently working on some hotel blocks near and around the ranch. We will keep you updated with a list of those as soon as they are pulled together.
Due to an issue of space, please speak with Andy or Jordan about bringing an extra person. Please be willing to hear that there is not enough space and our concerns with Covid.
Heck NAH! This party will be a BLAST without it. Our ROOT BEER FLOAT BAR will solve all your party needs. One drink of that and your sugar levels will be so high that the live band will make you feel so alive. We also ask that you do not plan to bring alcohol to our wedding. This is not BYOB. If you want to drink, we kindly ask that you pregame before (safely, and do not drive), or meet up with some other friends after the wedding to explore Austin's night life!
You better believe it! There will be a live band, so we better see everyone out on the dance floor, even granny!
The property has uneven ground. MORE IMPORTANTLY! There is manure EVERYWHERE on the property. There is also a high possibility of mud or dirt (depending on if it rained recently) in the areas that all the events are happening. Women! We do not want you getting your heels stuck in the mud or all scuffed up. Gentlemen! We don't want your newly waxed dress shoes to lose their shine from a layer of dirt, or worse, a layer of cow manure. If you have Cowboy boots, or closed toed dress shoes that can easily be washed, wear those. This statement applies to both men and women attending. This will not only make it easier to walk, but will keep you a little safer from nature. Here at Hidden Vista Ranch, we leave most of the wildlife alone as to protect their natural habitat and food chain. This means you WILL see lots of bugs, wildlife, and other homestead animals during your visit. Don't be surprised if a cow tries to join the ceremony, or a rooster crows during the dinner portion of the event.
If your kids are listed on the invite, and you don’t know how they will do during the reception, there’s good news!! We will have two babysitters that will be available at no cost to you! Your kids (if you decide to leave them with the babysitters) will have access to many games and activities to keep them preoccupied. Pinball, ping pong, shuffle board, etc. You name it! And yes, they will still get cake (the best part). If you know your kids would rather be out on the dance floor, don’t worry, our wedding will be a family friendly event. Your kids are more than welcome to join everyone on the dance floor, in fact, Andy and I would love it!! Again, this option is only available for kids listed on the invite!
Due to Covid, we request you come 45 minutes early. This allows time for parking, getting dropped off at the ceremony location, checking in with our Ushers to receive a Covid pre-screening questionnaire and temperature check, sign our guest book with a picture, and time to choose your seats separated 6 feet apart from others.
