The Pittsburgh cookie table is thought to have begun during the Great Depression as a way to save on the cost of a wedding cake.
Leading up to the wedding, family and friends came together to bake cookies using recipes passed down through generations.
Decades later, the cookie table has become a cherished tradition among Pittsburgh couples.
As a couple new to Pittsburgh, we will be embracing this tradition!
If you would like to be a part of this tradition, please reach out to the bride, mother of the bride, or mother of the groom by August 13, 2025. Cookies need to be dropped off at any of their homes by Thursday, September 11.
