Located 15 miles NW of downtown Chicago, depending on the time of arrival O'Hare is a 30-minute taxi ride downtown. As a cheaper option, you can take the Chicago "L" from O'Hare using the Blue line for $5 which will take you directly to the Loop (1.0mile south of Gold Coast).

Located 12 miles SW of downtown Chicago, depending on the time of arrival and traffic, Midway is a 30-minute taxi ride downtown. As a cheaper option, you can take the Chicago "L" from Midway using the Orange line for $5 which will take you directly to the Loop (1.0mile south of Gold Coast).

Folks traveling in from Michigan who don't want to worry about driving and parking in the city, taking the Amtrak is your best bet! Coming highly recommended from several co-workers as a relaxing way to get in and out of Chicago pain free.
