Cocktail attire is fine! Men can wear sports jackets, blazers, or suits. A tie is not necessary unless they want to! Women can wear jumpsuits or any length dress. The welcome party will be both indoors and outdoors.
The attire for the wedding is black tie optional. It is spring in Charleston meaning florals, pastels, and lively colors are in! We encourage you to be bright! Men can wear dark suits or tuxedos while women can wear floor-length gowns, fancy cocktail dresses, or dressy jumpsuits! Have fun with your outfits!

Yes, there will be buses provided for all guests! The buses will leave from the front of the Francis Marion Hotel (387 King Street) at precisely 3:30PM. They will then return after the wedding to the same location. If you’re staying downtown, it will be easy to get an Uber to Francis Marion to then take the buses to the wedding! Ubering or driving is also an option. Runnymede is approximately 30 minutes from downtown Charleston.
Yes, if you drive to the wedding, there will be parking. If you wish to Uber, you can do this too. Buses are provided for all guests to and from the wedding (pick up and drop off at Francis Marion Hotel).
No, there will not be transportation to the welcome party. The welcome party is located at 103 Spring Street. This is within walking distance from our hotel blocks and in the heart of downtown Charleston! There are always Ubers if you decide to stay on Folly Beach or elsewhere! In the "Things to Do" section we list a ton of restaurants downtown where you can grab dinner before heading to the welcome party!

While we love your little ones, due to a limited capacity, our wedding is an adults only event. We cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
We recommend staying in a hotel or short-term rental in downtown Charleston. It is close distance to our welcome party and after party. Also, transportation for the wedding is from downtown. If you choose to stay downtown, we have a hotel block at the Francis Marion and the Courtyard by Marriott Historic District. The two hotels are within 2 blocks from each other. These hotels are centrally located but you really cannot go wrong with all of the options. See more info in 'Travel' section. If you choose to stay at Folly Beach, we recommend either the Tides Hotel or a short-term rental. Other beaches include Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms.
If you choose to rent a house via AirBnB or VRBO, the best neighborhood in Charleston would be Cannonborough/Elliotborough or Radcliffeborough on the website's map. Staying at a house in either of these two neighborhoods will put you in walking distance to both King Street, the welcome party at Cannon Green, and the after party at Frontier Lounge!

Charleston in April is one of the best times of the year! Both the welcome party and wedding are primarily outdoors. The average temperature during the day in April is mid 70s. At night, it is in the low 60s!
