We are asking that our guests stick to semi-formal attire with a neutral and muted tone color palette to compliment the vibe of our day. This means that all dresses, outfits, suits and coats need to follow this request. Absolutely no jeans or casual wear. Colors to avoid: light gray Example of colors to wear: greens (dark or pale), blues (navy, pale blues), neutrals (taupe, beige, browns, nudes), etc.
We ask that guests begin arriving no earlier than 2:30pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 3pm, if you arrive after 3pm you will not be able to be seated.
No, we would like our guests to attend both the ceremony AND the reception to celebrate our union.
There will be a bus that is picking up / dropping off at the Homewood Suites listed in the Accommodations section of our website. Should you not take the bus (or miss it), guests will be responsible for getting to and from the ceremony location in Charles City RESPONSIBLY. There is PLENTY of parking at the venue, and should you need to leave your car there overnight we ask that is is picked up NO LATER than 3pm on 12/17.
When you go to RSVP, you will know how many are allotted for your invite. Please do not show-up with an additional guest that was not on your RSVP. Thanks!
We kindly ask you leave your precious little babes at home and have an amazing night out as a couple! We know (as parents ourselves) it isn't always feasible, so if that's the case we completely understand if you cannot make our big day!
We are planning for an outdoor ceremony. Please keep in mind we are getting married in December, so it could be 40 degrees or it could be 65 (good old VA weather), we advise you keep an eye on the weather for dress purposes. In the event it is too cold, raining or snowing, we will move the ceremony inside into the reception space.
We are kindly asking our guests to gift us funds towards our honeymoon. There is no need to bring any physical gifts to our wedding!
We are using Deep Run Roadhouse as our caterer, and they will be cooking us a delicious buffet style barbeque dinner!
