What is the dress code and theme?

Answer

Our wedding theme is Art Deco Glamour (think Great Gatsby/Harlem Nights) with a modern twist! The dress code is elevated cocktail attire. Themed attire is not necessary, but welcomed. For gentlemen, we recommend the timeless appeal of a suit or dress shirt paired with a tie. Ladies, express your style in a long, midi, or knee-length dress or chic dressy separates. Feel free to dress in your own cultural flair (ao dai, abaya, etc.). Please avoid jeans, and refrain from wearing white, gold, and champagne for the main colors of your outfit as these colors are reserved for the wedding party.

Where is the venue?

Answer

The Columns at One Commerce Square is located at 45 S 2nd St, Memphis, TN 38103. Details: The venue is at the corner of Monroe and 2nd Street and right across the street from McEwen's Restaurant. The preferred entrance faces the Cadre Building across the street on 2nd Street. Entrance: The only two open entrances to the venue will be through the garage entrance and the 2nd Street Entrance. There will be attendants and signs (unless there is inclement weather) to help guide you to the correct entrances. Right off interstate 40. If traveling on I-40W look for exit. If traveling from I-40E look for exit 1. If traveling from I-40W look for exit 1A

How to find parking close to the Venue?

Answer

There is free street parking all around the venue. There are also parking garages all around the venue if you cannot find street parking. There is a connected paid parking garage at the venue which has direct access to one of the entrances. The address is One Commerce Square Garage - 112 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103. You can park at any level above 5 at any non-reserved spot (the floors below all have reserved parking only). Are phones allowed during the wedding?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos or videos with their cell phones during the ceremony as our professional photographers and videographers will be capturing those precious moments. However, please feel free to use your phones at the reception to your heart's content!

Can I bring a guest (plus one)?

Answer

We cannot accommodate any additional guests who are not on our official guest list at this time. Thank you for understanding!

Are children welcome to attend?

Answer

While we love your kiddos, due to venue location and availability, we ask that you leave your little ones at home and make this an adult-only event. Only children in the wedding party and older children (teenagers) will be in attendance. Take this as a chance to make arrangements ahead of time and enjoy the night with us!

Answer

Thank you for thinking of us and for your generosity! To give us a gift from our wedding registry, follow these steps: 1. Visit our wedding registry section by clicking on the menu button to open up the navigation pane and then click on “Registry”. 2. Here you can see the store and items that we have registered OR if you wish to provide a monetary gift to help us start our lives together, we also have a cash fund! 3. If you would like to buy a gift online, browse through the items we have selected and choose the one you'd like to gift us. 4. Add the item to your cart and proceed to checkout. 5. Enter your information and complete the purchase. 6. The gift will be shipped directly to us.

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Answer

Yes! Please go to the "Travel" tab to access hotel information. Also, there are plenty of nearby options on AirBNB if you wish to go that route, but all of our reserved hotels are in walking distance of the venue (1-3 minutes).
