Given that we live in a technology-fueled world, our story began in 2016 with a mutual interest online, followed by a first date that can only be described as transcendent. Driving home that night, we both knew we had stumbled upon something special; something worth pursuing and exploring. Six years worth of memories later, complete with ups and downs, long commutes, career advancements, building our first home and our two dogs by our side, we can’t wait for this exciting new chapter to begin as husband and wife. Although we can’t say we met in a way that’s considered “traditional,” what matters is that we did, and we feel so lucky to have found each other.
David proposed during our family vacation in Ocean City, Maryland in August of 2020. We were making breakfast, and he asked me to get the eggs out of the fridge (eggs weren't on the menu, but I didn't think much of it). In the fridge, on top of the eggs was the ring box! I moved it to the side to get the eggs (again, completely oblivious at this point). He told me to grab the box and when I turned around, he was on one knee. I was completely surprised, and since cooking together is one of our favorite things to do, the proposal was very "us."
We want to take an opportunity to recognize all of the people, for which this day would not be possible without. We would first like to extend a special thank you to our parents and immediate family for their support and guidance throughout the planning process. We love you. To our wedding party, thank you for (attempting to) keep us grounded and relaxed, approaching every situation and "duty" with professionalism and grace. Most importantly, thank you for just being our friends. To Hotel Bethlehem, Kathy Sanders, the employees and all of our vendors; we extend our utmost gratitude. And to our guests, we thank you for allowing us to share our day with you. We hope you have a wonderful time. ♡ Lindsey and David
