Alaina and Ian credit part of their love story to the generosity of their friends, Elijah and Rebekah. It was at a bible study at their house in 2022 that Alaina and Ian got to know each other. Through games, jokes, the sharing of scripture, and prayer, a bond of friendship was born. This was strengthened through game nights with Nick and Calli (they also receive credit for this love story) and volunteering at the youth group together. At High school camp in 2024, it became apparent that this friendship was destined for more. After camp, conversations lengthened and interest grew. This led to Ian asking Alaina on a date at the end of September and asking her to be his girlfriend by the end of October. Since then, they have become inseparable. It goes to show that through prayer and dedication, one really can exit the friendzone.
