FAQs

If you have any questions other than those mentioned below, please reach out to either the bride or groom.
Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

We ask that all guests RSVP before May 1, 2025. This allows ample time for the caterers to ensure there is enough food for everyone. It also helps the bride and groom know who to expect on their special day.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

We politely request that there be no children under the age of 13 at the reception.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask that our guests do not wear black, white, or navy blue. Our dress code is "casual summer wedding attire". Guests are encouraged to wear jeans or khakis paired with a collared shirt, a flowy skirt and shirt, a summer sundress, or something similar. Athletic attire (shorts, tank tops, etc.) is strongly discouraged.

Question

What is the parking situation at the venue?

Answer

There is ample free parking available at the venue. Parking will be self-serve, and it will be clearly marked. We ask that our guests do not park behind the floral arch, as their vehicles would obscure our wedding photos. Parking at the reception is also free, self-serve parking either in front of the location, in the parking lot directly beside it, or parallel in the street. If any of our out-of-town guests need assistance with transportation to the wedding, please reach out to Sophie prior to the week of the wedding.

Question

Is the wedding inside or outside?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outdoors. La Grande does not get quite as hot as Texas, but please plan accordingly for some summer weather. The average high in June is 76 degrees Fahrenheit, and the average low is 50. The reception will be held indoors.

Question

What foods will be served at the reception?

Answer

We are planning to serve a three course menu to our guests. The first course will consist of two appetizers: Gyozas and Crab Rangoons. The second course will consist of an entree selection of chicken Pad Thai, chicken fried rice, or shrimp fresh rolls. Entree selections will be noted in RSVPs, and any allergies can be discussed with the bride and groom in order to plan for allergen-based accommodations. For the final course, dessert, we will be having a traditional wedding cake, mango sticky rice, and an assortment of pastries.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

We will have two beer options, a red wine option, and a white wine option available for our guests. There will also be non-alcoholic options available to those who are under age or choosing not to drink.
