Things To Do in KennebunkportThings To Do in Kennebunkport

The Wedding Website of Josh Britten and Lee Stewart
Things to Consider for May 2026: May in Maine can be lovely, but it can also be unpredictable. Days can be mild and sunny, but evenings can still be cool, and rain is always possible. We advise guests to pack layers. May is considered a "shoulder season," meaning it's less crowded than July and August, which can make for a more pleasant experience at popular attractions. For popular restaurants or tours, especially on a weekend, making reservations in advance is highly recommended. While Kennebunkport is walkable around Dock Square, having a car is ideal for exploring the wider area and for the trip to Portland. In Portland, walking is great for the Old Port, but a car or ride-sharing will be helpful for reaching places like Portland Head Light or breweries outside the immediate downtown. Check out our Things To Do in Portland Tab for more information on this area.
