Both of our brothers, Owen (Grace's brother) and Carson (Hunter's brother), were in the same police academy. Owen was new to the area and quickly became friends with the Bride's. Since Owen and Hunter were the same age, they bonded and became really close friends. In a lighthearted moment, Owen jokingly told Hunter that he should date one of his sisters. Through a series of slightly tipsy FaceTime calls between Owen and Grace, Hunter started to get to know Grace. Eventually, he asked Owen for Grace's number, and the two began talking daily. Their official first meeting was at Owen and Carson's police academy graduation, where they met each other’s families and spent the day having a great time together. After that weekend, neither of them knew if they would see each other again, but they couldn’t stop talking. One day, Grace gathered up the courage to invite Hunter to visit her at Ole Miss. Both of them knew it was a big step, but they wanted to see where this connection would take them. Hunter got on a plane to Ole Miss, and as they say, the rest is history.

During Grace's graduation weekend at Ole Miss, Hunter had originally planned to propose in the Grove after her commencement ceremony. However, Grace has a knack for spoiling surprises and was starting to catch on. So, at the last minute, Hunter decided to change the plan and propose a day earlier. On May 10th, with the help of Grace's family, Hunter quickly put a new plan into action. They had dinner plans at Taylor Grocery, and Grace had no clue what was coming. As they were getting ready, Hunter suggested stopping by campus to look at her brick in the Circle—a tradition at Ole Miss where seniors purchase a brick to leave their mark on campus. What Grace didn’t know was that Hunter had arranged for a special custom brick that read, "Grace Margaret, Will You Marry Me?" When they arrived on campus and made their way to the Circle, Grace spotted the brick, and her eyes filled with tears. Hunter delivered a heartfelt, short, and sweet proposal, and Grace proudly said, "Yes!"

Grace and Hunter currently reside in Cumming, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. Grace works at Montaluce Winery as a Wedding and Event Sales Manager, while Hunter is a Cardiac ICU Nurse at Northeast Hospital. They enjoy spending their days with their two kitties, Beaux and Binx, and exploring all the fun and beauty that Georgia has to offer. Right now, they’re excitedly planning their summer wedding and a dream honeymoon to Greece!
