Harbor Point Waterfront
Head over to the Harbor Point Waterfront for a stroll on the boardwalk taking in views of the Sound. Here are some of our favorite restaurants and bars right near the Harbor Point Waterfront: - Prime (steak & seafood right on the water, great cocktails!) - Crab Shell (casual, fun, outdoor seafood restaurant on the water) - Mexicue (Mexican restaurant on the water in a great location) - Sign of the Whale (bar with a rooftop view of the harbor near the water) - Fortina (pizza restaurant with a rooftop view of of the harbor)
Greenwich Avenue
Head over to Greenwich Avenue in Greenwich, CT for countless shops, restaurants, bars, and more! Some of our favorite spots in Greenwich: - Hinoki (Sushi restaurant on the avenue with a NYC lounge feel) - Elm Street Oyster House (Casual with a great menu) - Harvest (The restaurant that we ate dinner at when our parents first met! Don't miss their warm brussels sprout salad) - Bistro V (Great French spot for brunch and cocktails) - The Ginger Man (Casual pub at the top of Greenwich Avenue known for their burgers) - Mediterraneo (Seafood restaurant in a prime people-watching location on the Avenue)
Cafe Silvium
For anyone looking to grab dinner over the weekend, this is our favorite restaurant in Stamford. Their Italian food is all authentic, homemade, and delicious and you can't beat the prices, or the wine pours :)
Cisco Brewers at The Village
On any given weekend in the summer you can find us at this popular outdoor brewery. The original location is in Nantucket and they recently expanded to Stamford. Go here for live music, cocktails, beer, appetizers, games, dog watching, good vibes, and more on the water. This is the spot of our Sunday Farewell Gathering, so we'll see you there on Sunday if you can make it!
Bedford & Summer Street
Bedford Street and Summer Street are the main streets of downtown Stamford featuring lots of awesome bars and restaurants. Here are some of our favorites: - Bedford Hall (Casual bar with good bites & drink menu) - Bar Rosso (Casual Italian restaurant with good food and cocktails) - Barcelona (Tapas restaurant with amazing sangria) - Sallys Apizza (Famous, old-school, wood-fired New Haven, CT pizza spot that just recently opened in Stamford. A 9.2 Barstool rating) - Bar Taco (Casual taco & margarita spot on Summer Street) - Capriccios (Bustling restaurant on Bedford Street featuring an outdoor bar, great for outdoor seating)
New York City
For those wanting to make a trip out of the weekend and visit New York City, the city is conveniently only about a 45-minute train ride away! Hop on a train directly to Grand Central Terminal from the Stamford train station and be in NYC in under an hour.
The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk
For those visiting with children or looking for something different to to, visit the Norwalk Aquarium which gives visitors a view into the Long Island Sound ecosystem.
The Wheel
Located right next to Cisco Brewers, The Wheel offers a modern American menu with a perfect location right on the water. A local favorite of John and Caroline - we go here all the time!
