Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is standard cocktail attire. Think of dresses, jumpsuits, etc. for women and suits for men. Come in whatever you feel best in to celebrate all night long!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yup! We will have shuttles to transport guests from our hotel block (the Stamford Marriott) to the church, back to the hotel following the church ceremony, from the hotel to the reception venue, and back to the hotel following the reception. There will be multiple shuttles all at staggered times. Please check the "Schedule & Transportation" tab for full details!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Our welcome cocktails to kick off the wedding weekend will be taking place at l'escale restaurant bar at the Delamar Greenwich Harbor Hotel from 8-10pm. Feel free to swing by to grab a drink and say hello before the big day. The hotel bar will also be the site of our after party following the reception from 12am-2am for those who want to keep the party going! Finally, for any guests still in town on Sunday, we will be having an informal get together at our favorite local Stamford brewery, Cisco Brewers, at 12pm. This is our favorite spot right on the water and has live music, food tents, drinks, and more!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The church ceremony will start promptly at 2pm, so if all guests could arrive 10-15 minutes before to get settled that would be ideal. We will have shuttles running from the hotel to the church to get guests there in time :)

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! If you have any food allergies please reach out to John or Caroline and we will be sure to make the appropriate accommodations with the Inn at Longshore.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is metered parking on Greenwich Avenue which is where St. Mary Church is located. However, the Avenue can get quite busy on a Saturday afternoon. We would suggest taking the shuttle if possible or ubering if necessary (about a 10 minute drive) because parking might be tough. For the reception, yes, there is a parking lot for guests at the Inn at Longshore, but again, there will be shuttle transportation for all guests.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Our main hotel room block is at the Stamford Marriott Hotel and Spa (243 Tresser Blvd) which is also the location of our shuttle transportation pick-up and drop-off. If possible, we would suggest for guests to stay at this hotel for the sake of convenience, but if guests are looking for other hotels in the area, we suggest the Courtyard by Marriott Stamford Downtown, the Lloyd Stamford, the Delamar in Greenwich, and the Residence Inn Stamford which are all very close to the Stamford Marriott.
