Things To Do

It's hard to go wrong in Charleston, but here are some of our personal favorites!

Babas on Wentworth

115 Wentworth Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Great for coffee and pastries! There are also locations on Cannon Steet and Meeting Street.

Millers All Day

120 King Street, Charleston, SC 29401

A delicious option for brunch.

Brown Dog Deli

225 Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Bennett and I always make sure to stop here for lunch when we're in town.

Bert's Market

202 East Ashley Avenue, Folly Beach, SC 29439

A must stop for sandwiches and snacks when headed to the beach in Folly.

Chico Feo

122 East Ashley Avenue, Folly Beach, SC 29439

Another Folly Beach spot. We like to go after the beach. Outside, casual bar with a small food menu and music (sometimes).

Vern's

41 Bogard Street, Charleston, SC 29403

A delicious downtown date night spot. Make a reservation or try your luck on seats at the bar.

Allora

114 Spring Street, Charleston, SC 29403

We love Italian! And a rooftop! (rooftop is first-come, first-served; reservation recommended for main dining room).

Harvest Moon

441 1/2 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403

A cute little boutique on King that's easy to miss. Up the yellow stairs next to Las Olas.

Hazel Twenty Boutique

73 Wentworth Street, Charleston, SC 29401

A fun boutique right off of King Street with men's and women's wear.

Go to the Beach

Charleston's three closest beach areas are Folly Beach, Sullivan's Island, and Isle of Palms. Folly is our favorite, but you can't go wrong. Each offer great food spots and access to beautiful beaches.

Take a Walking Tour

Beyond exploring King Street for some shopping, some of our favorite places to walk downtown are along The Battery (Murray Blvd), around Colonial Lake, & through the Harleston Village/Cannonborough/Elliotborough neighborhoods. The website linked below has great route suggestions.
