Cima &Rob found Each other...again!

Cima first showed up at Rob's house in the 1990s when he was living with John Finlay (all three pictured above, circa 1994). Cima was a third generation kid living in Littleton and Rob was learning the ropes at Bretton Woods ski mountain. They enjoyed Warren Miller ski movies, time on the ski slopes and stair diving. Half a decade later Cima went to visit Rob at Axis, his snowboard, wake and skate shop, but he was out teaching a lesson and the message never got to him. Then in 2021 John found Cima on a Facebook search, reaching out to say hello to an old friend. She had just moved to Portland, Maine after spending almost 15 years in Alaska. Rob had also just moved to Boston to help Blue Ribbon Restaurants open new locations at the Hotel Commonwealth. John encouraged them to connect, as each was rebuilding a life for themselves. The rest was magic. Rob asked Cima down to see a Red Sox game and Cima accepted, bringing along a house warming gift. She chose salt, wine and bread, inspired by her favorite movie, It's a Wonderful Life. Rob immediately recognized it, as it turns out this is his favorite movie too. The similarities in their lives kept coming and it became clear that these two people are better together. Rob proposed after a Red Sox game on July 10, 2022. They were married by their friend Jennifer Krol on Artist's Bluff in Franconia, NH on November 19, 2022. The location reunited them with their past. The bluff overlooks the lake Cima lifeguarded at for many years and years later, Rob used to rehab from his ACL tear. Cannon Mountain was the backdrop, a favorite ski location for both of them in their younger lives. Their love is deep, meaningful and powerful.
