Please RSVP here on the website or by emailing thebirdandthebee23@gmail.com by May 1!
Garden attire: sundresses, light colored suits, suit jackets optional. The bride will be wearing a wedding dress and the groom will be wearing a vest and a dress shirt. Wear anything you would be comfortable going to church in.
The ceremony will be taking place indoors at the church. The reception will be mostly outdoors (underneath a tent) with limited indoor space.
Children are welcome! We will even have special activities to keep them busy during the ceremony and reception.
The ceremony will start promptly at 2 pm. We recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes early so that you have enough time to find a seat and get settled before the procession begins. The reception will start at approximately 4 pm, to give everyone time to arrive from the church. You are welcome to travel directly to the reception venue when the ceremony finishes.
There is limited parking behind the church. There is a university parking garage located at the corner of Nelson and Washington Streets (a five minute walk from the church). At the reception site, there will be field parking.
Expect to participate in the wedding as much as you feel comfortable to. There will be a program that outlines exactly what to say and when to sit or stand or kneel. Only Catholics may receive communion, but you are welcome to receive a blessing during the rite of communion.
The wedding party will be taking photos for a while at the church and at the venue. Guests can head straight to the reception venue where we will be serving cocktails or make a brief stop at their lodgings first to freshen up.
Emma is vegetarian so there will be vegetarian options available. For other dietary needs, please email thebirdandthebee23@gmail.com to let us know what you need!
Check out our registry tab above!
Transportation will not be provided between the ceremony and reception. It is about a ten minute drive between the two places and directions are provided in your ceremony program.
