Please RSVP by April 1st, but no jokes please and thank you.
We want you to come as you are. Let's keep it chill and casual! If fashion and fluidity excite you, GO FOR IT. If you are most comfortable in your cozies, SEE YOU THERE. We encourage you to be YOU. It is Pride Weekend, after all-- think bright, colorful, happy, and authentically you. It is summer (and Greenwich Village on the queerest weekend of the year)...so be prepared to feel the heat.
Of course! We want to see your kids! For a kid's schedule for our wedding, please note that their will be a surprise come 5:30PM; a ceremony come 6:00PM; and Joe's Pizza for the kiddos come 6:30PM-- followed by dancing. Please feel free to schedule your family's attendance around your comfort levels and know that we will be excited to share the evening with you! We will provide a kids table with activities-- they will (hopefully) be fully entertained. Plus Oakley wants to dance with all of his besties.
Think of this as a glorified holiday book exchange in our apartment (IYKYK). Food will be delicious and low-key. For adults, we will have catering from Los Tacos No. 1 (https://www.lostacos1.com/), including a vegetarian option (Nopal Cactus) and meat options. For kids, we will provide pizza from local favorite Joe's Pizza (https://www.joespizzanyc.com/). We will be taking a RSVP count to order sufficient pizza for the kiddos-- if you are an adult who would prefer this option, please let us know.
We are living in abundance, friends, and are set with most physical things in our life. We would rather put money towards Oakley's future and travel; see registry page to give to these funds. If you would like to donate to Judson Memorial Church or a charity or radical political organization hard at work in 2026, that would also be deeply meaningful! We will also graciously accept any gifts on the day of the wedding or via snail mail. Thank you so much in advance.
The space where everything is happening, including the bathrooms in the basement, is accessible via elevator from the 243 Thompson Street entrance. The only area of the room that can only be accessed by stairs is the balcony.
Our Oakley will be turning four....FOUR(!) that Sunday, June 28th. Get ready to sing Happy Birthday and help Oakley blow out candles on the cakes. So it's a little wedding meets 4-year-old birthday party.
