Selina was working her high school job at Harvey's when Julia moved to town and picked up a job there too. We became fast friends, and for two years everyone (except us) could see there was something more, special shoutout to Vanessa Cation for calling it from the start. When Selina moved to Peterborough for university, we still insisted we were "Just friends," even though we spent every night on FaceTime and every day texting. Julia braved brutal four-and-a-half-hour snowy drives to just see Selina on weekends. After that first year apart, Julia decided she couldn't stay away any longer and got accepted into Fleming College. That fall, fate (and questionable judgement) made us roommates. Two people in denial about being in love, living together... what could possibly go wrong. Turns out, nothing. The first weekend after the start of school, we celebrated with a bottle of wine, and everything changed. Julia asked Selina to be her girlfriend (though Selina made her wait two weeks before saying yes). And from that moment on, the rest really is history.
