Hiking around the Foothills
Nothing beats the Boise foothills on an early summer morning! If you're not an early bird, the sunset views are killer, too! If flat ground is more your speed, check out the Boise Greenbelt. It's a paved walkway along the Boise River. The path is mostly covered by trees, so there is plenty of shade to stay cool.
Boise Wineries
Our top recommendations are Cinder and Telaya. If you go to Cinder, make sure to try their Tempranillo (Red) and/or their Viognier (White)! Check out the link for the full list of local wineries.
Boise Breweries
Our FAVORITE brewery is Mother Earth Brewing! Their Cali Cream Ale is incredible. Bonus points if you get it on nitro! Check out the link for the full list of local breweries.
Coffee Shops
Kaylee's favorite coffee shop in Boise is Zero Six Coffee Fix. It's so eclectic and fun AND the coffee & treats are phenomenal! Flying M also has a super fun vibe and a cool gift shop with all sorts of funny items to check out. There are so many coffee shops in the area, you really can't go wrong with any of the local spots! Places to Eat
Our favorite breakfast spots are Goldy's and The Griddle. Jacob's favorite breakfast of all time is the Strawberry-Rhubarb Stuffed French Toast from the Griddle! For lunch and dinner, we always enjoy Yoi Tomo Sushi (they have a 4 rolls for $44 takeout special!), Bittercreek Ale House, Highlands Hollows (their large fry will feed a small army), BBQ4Life (vegan friendly), Bacon, Matador and Eureka.
Idaho State Capitol
Fun fact: Kaylee used to work with local elected officials, including legislators at the Capitol Building! Another fun fact: Jacob has never been in the Capitol building. If you've never been, you should go! It's beautiful! (That means you, Jacob)
