What’s this about a shuttle to the wedding?
Answer
Yep, we are offering a shuttle from both hotels (Hampton Inn and Hyatt) in Carrboro to the Haw River Ballroom for the wedding on Sunday. We invite everyone to come together and celebrate responsibly. Boarding times for the shuttle: 3:15 at the Hyatt; 3:45 at the Hampton Inn. Note: Parking is limited at the Haw River Ballroom. There are a few spaces at the venue and some down the street. While you may be able to get an Uber or Lyft to the venue, those services will NOT pick you up there.

May I take the shuttle if I am not staying at the hotel?
Answer
Yes! Feel free to drive, walk, or Uber/Lyft to the Hampton Inn Carrboro and join the wedding shuttle out to Saxapahaw. There is a FREE public parking garage right next to the hotel at: 370 E Main St Carrboro, NC 27510.

What time should I plan to arrive at the wedding?
Answer
Again, all are welcome to take the shuttle, but if you’re a local, say, or bringing young children and need to travel to the venue on your own, please plan to arrive around 4:30 (no earlier than 4:15 and no later than 4:45) and take a seat in the ballroom. We have an excellent "mini orchestra" from Elon University playing live music starting at 4:30 before the ceremony.

Are children welcome?
Answer
Absolutely, yes! For anyone who needs a break during the wedding reception, there will be an area upstairs with couches to rest on and activities for kids of all ages. There’s plenty to explore outside too, including a beautiful river! Note: will be serving alcohol and plenty of non-alcoholic beverage options, and we will be dancing in the ballroom. The final wedding activities will take place around 10:30 p.m.

Answer
The welcome dinner is right across the street from the Hampton Inn in Carrboro. There is a FREE public parking garage right next to the hotel at: 370 E Main St Carrboro, NC 27510.

How do I extend my stay at the hotels?
Answer
If you would like to extend your stay beyond the hotel block dates, please call the hotel directly. They can easily assist you to extend your stay in the same room while making sure you’re locked in to the discounted rate for the block dates.
