Hannah and Ryan went to both middle and high school together, riding the same bus for years, but never truly connecting. Hannah had a crush on Ryan back in those days, but he was out of her league. and Ryan is an introvert, so conversation was very limited between the two. Until one fateful day at War Memorial Park in Martinsburg. One of their mutual friends was working on a project for college and asked the future couple for input. Originally, Hannah had a different date to interview, but it was one of her best friends' birthdays and she really wanted to make it special for them. So, Hannah was then told that she would be moved to the alternate date, which was the day Ryan would also be interviewing. The two hit it off, trying to give their friend dating advice which was a smooth transition to what Hannah’s ideal first date or dating ideas were. The couple started with simple messenger texts, to watching Star Wars in their own homes and messaging each other through it. To one of the final movies where they actually gained the courage to call each other vs. texting. From there they were involved in another one of the Film Students many projects where they got to know one another. They would hang out afterwards and watch the hit series The Office. It was during one of these episodes where Ryan asked Hannah to be his girlfriend on November 21, 2021, to which she replied, “I don't know, do you want me to be your girlfriend.” She claims that he caught her off guard and in other accounts some may say that she was being sarcastic. And the rest is history. Life is beautiful in that way. It never goes to plan, and it's always changing just as we should. So, admittingly, our couple took a break. They need space to find themselves. To grow with God. To be the best versions of them. Afterall, there is a wise saying of the right person, just wrong timing. Thats when the formerly stated Film student worked his matchmaking skills once more and started on another project. And let me tell you, history has a way of repeating itself. Ryan and Hannah would get back together on February 3, 2022. From there they were stable and able to pursue their passion for traveling God’s beautiful creation and pursuing the plans that God has intended for them. So long story short. Ryan on April 21, 2023 in his driveway, after a crystal clear, romantic night stroll around his neighborhood, asked Hannah to marry him. It took everything in her to not say, I don't know, do you want me to marry you? So, she bit her tongue and just said yes. (Even though we were all expecting this to happen on their trip to the U.K. Everything in life has purpose and meaning.) The couple thanks you and sends love to everyone who reads this. Their testimony may not be the typical, fluffy, romantic, fairy tale we all wish we could have, but what we can say for sure is that Ryan and Hannah have a bond unlike any other. Their love for God and one another brings them close, and it is through God alone that they are grateful to be where they are today. With all the friends that make the journey worthwhile, and unforgettable moments with family. Life is about celebrating love and those beautiful individuals in them that truly make it special. Truly make it special.
