As people their age tend to do, Hunter and Isaac continuously swiped through dating apps with no luck. Then, one day in the fall of 2023, Hunter decided to delete her dating apps. As she opened Bumble to do so, the first profile was Isaac's and she simply couldn't just say no. The two immediately matched and got to talking; Isaac admitted very quickly that he was shipping off to basic training in January, to which Hunter stated she could not care less. A couple days later, they had their first date. In the days that followed, they talked about everything under the sun — their hockey teams and that year's season, their love for The Conjuring series, and more. They could have started dating then ... except, Hunter ghosted Isaac for a couple of weeks. Purely accidental. But it happened. When Hunter realized in late November that she had not spoken to Isaac recently, she reached out to apologize. Isaac, in his true stubborn fashion, almost didn't respond ... but he did. They have Mason to thank for that. Between the end of November and the beginning of January when Isaac had to leave, they could not see each other due to schedule conflicts. While Hunter was back home for the holidays in California, they continued texting and calling. One of their phone calls included an intoxicated Isaac asking her to be his girlfriend, to which she responded with, "No." Isaac shipped off, a wee bit upset with Hunter (rightfully so, now that they both think about it). Hunter returned to Virginia and a couple days later on a Sunday in January of 2024, she took her phone off of Do Not Disturb, something she hardly ever did. She traveled to Target to run some errands and while standing in the toilet paper aisle, received a phone call from Isaac. He was adamant about being serious about her and asked for her address to send her letters, and the rest is history. They moved in together by August of 2024, adopted their first cat — Stanley — in November, followed by their second cat — Loraine — in August of 2025. They tied the knot in a private ceremony with their families on April 19, 2025. Hoping to have a large celebration with everyone they love most, they planned their wedding for April 4, 2026. No, they did not intend to celebrate both of their marriage ceremonies Easter weekend, but it's hilarious that it happened.
