We were introduced by a dear friend, who at the time, probably didn't realize just how good we would be for one another. Our first date was at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop where we spent so long talking that we closed the place down. We went out a couple more times, but ultimately Kara was too afraid to settle down and ended things. Fast forward to Spring of 2022, and the same dear friend is hosting a cookout to celebrate graduation with the entire MHA cohort. Aaron showed up to the cookout to spend time with his friends in attendance and the rest is history.

We went to Hawaii to visit Nate, the best man, as a graduation/1 year/Birthday trip for Aaron. We decided to go island hopping and spend a few nights by ourselves. When we were in Maui, Aaron rented out an entire venue called Haiku Mill, just off the Road to Hana, and proposed there.
