Maid of Honor
What could I ever say here about the most supportive, ride or die, loving, caring, compassionate, funny, jovial, warm, understanding, and may I say- GLAMOROUS - person I've ever known. My rock for almost 23 years, I couldn't have asked God for a better sister to me. Alle has helped and supported me to become the woman I am today; and for her, I am eternally grateful. I could go on and on giving you facts about her, but I only have so much room. My maid of honor, everybody!
Best Man
In our 12+ years of friendship, Johnathan and his family have been a nonstop source of love and support. We grew up in church together, and have maintained a strong bond over the years and through all of life's ups and downs. Sometimes even I have a hard time telling if we're just friends or blood brothers. He's a man of many talents: a great singer, dancer, and actor, a true triple threat!
Bridesmaid
Cocoa has been in my life for upwards of 10 years! A true sister, Christina and I have grown together in uncountable and unspeakable ways. I'm so blessed with her presence in my life, and couldn't ask for a better friend. She is a wizard at painting and lives to spend time with her friends and family - aka ME!
Groomsman
Josh and I met during my first year attending UAlbany. Connecting through a mutual love of music; we ended up as great friends and have been roommates for the past four years! He's credited with finally making me a fan of Atlanta rappers and the Denver Nuggets. A true brother, my wedding part wouldn't be complete without him because of the respect I have for his integrity and deep loyalty to his friends and family.
Bridesmaid
Sam and I have lived together and got to know each other over the past few years- in that order! One thing about Sam and I, we're going to cackle together! A tried and true friend, Sam has been a rock over our years of friendship together! She is passionate about mental health, traveling, and eating. With her, she'll always show you that life is too short to be serious all of the time!
Groomsman
I don't think anybody on planet Earth and beyond has anything bad to say about Christopher Guillaume. Our friendship has evolved in so many ways over the years, from cast-mates in our college play, to being leaders and mentors in the play, to becoming roommates, to brothers, and beyond. I'm constantly impressed by his kindness, generosity, and passion for his craft as a writer, director, and actor.
Bridesmaid
From Khalid: My rock, my light. My sister has always been THE single biggest supporter in my life. It's hard to describe how incredible our bond has been through everything we've been through as siblings - good and bad. She's the only person who truly gets my ridiculous sense of humor, who knows what I'm thinking before I'm thinking it - the person that I know I can call on for anything, and vice versa. I love her and this wedding party wouldn't be complete without her.
Groomsman
Selwyn and I have been friends since high school when he declared "Don't judge me" on the first day. I was confused, but didn't know at the time that it was a heartfelt lesson that I would end up taking with me through high school and into my adult years. I don't know what my teenage years would've looked like without him in my life, getting into trouble together, learning from each other, and constantly growing to be better together.
Bridesmaid
Imade, Imade, Imade! Imade has been in my life for five years and continues to show me why! She is one of the biggest supporters I have ever had in my life, and there's never ever a dull moment. with her. She loves to travel and is a hair connoisseur! I'm so glad she has graced my life with her presence in support and love.
Groomsman
A family friend who's more like a younger brother, I've known Prince for most of my life (and all of his!) I couldn't imagine a life without this goofball. We've always supported each other's families like they were our own and been better for it. In his off time, you can find him playing football or video games!
