We would love everyone to get dressed up with us, but we are in the mountains. Please be aware that there might be a chill in the air, and bringing a light jacket is recommended. For the ladies this means midi to maxi length dresses, or pants suits. Please refrain from wearing shades of white or light beige. Please also keep in mind that the ceremony is held at the top of The Elk Chair Lift, and you will be getting on and off a moving chairlift. Please wear sensible shoes, you can change into heels if you so please for the cocktail hour or reception. For the Gentlemen this means dress pants and a button down long sleeve shirt. A suit jacket is optional but recommended due to the chilly mountain climate, dress shoes, and optional tie. Please refrain from wearing jeans or short sleeve tops. P.s. you can't forget your dancing shoes!
Please note the start time of the ceremony is still to be determined closer to the date, especially since weather may be a factor. We have placed a blanket time of 1:00 pm for our guests to be ready, the finalized time will be available no later then one month before.
While we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted numbers. We hope you use this as a fun "night-off" from your parental duties!
We are keeping our wedding intimate and only inviting our closest loved ones. With that being said we are unable to accommodate plus ones beyond those specified on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding!
We will work with the culinary team to insure you have a wonderful meal. Please note any dietary restrictions and allergies when submitting your RSVP. It will be a formal sit down dinner consisting of three courses.
Please direct your attention to the "travel" section of this website, there are lots of suggestions for places to rest your heads!
We are having an unplugged ceremony, which means please refrain from taking photos and videos. We would greatly appreciate all electronics to be turned off before the ceremony starts so we can all be present with one another in such a special moment. After the ceremony has ended please feel free to take as many photos of the venue as you'd like, get a family photo even! We chose this venue for the views, use them!
Lots of parking is available at the reception venue and around the ski hill. If you are staying on the hill - most of the accommodation is within walking distance to our venue :)
Please refrain from calling the wedding party, especially the bride and groom. If you need directions or help finding the location please call The Lizard Creek Lodge at +1 (250) 423-2057.
We get it, unforeseen things do happen! If it is past the RSVP deadline and you have already said "yes", PLEASE contact us at thesmarvins97@gmail.com immediately so we can adjust accordingly. Please note: If it is day of we would appreciate you call the lodge directly at +1 (250) 423-2057.
