The happy couple met for the first time on November 26th, 2022, at a bar called "Rooftop YYC" in Calgary. Interestingly enough, Hannah and Jared crossed paths unknowingly on many occasions. The pair should have met in Junior High at St. James Elementary School; but Hannah had left only two years prior to Jared being enrolled at St. James. The second time the two should have met was at Bishop Carroll High School, where Jared and Hannah both enrolled in grade 10. They completed 3 years together at Bishop Carroll without ever meeting. It took almost 7 years after graduation for them to finally meet. The pair did not enter that evening with the thought of finding their soulmate. It was a happy accident they ran into each other that night. Hannah tried to scare Jared off with her desire for a family, knowing a young stud wouldn't be interested at the ripe age of 24. What a surprise it was for them to find out that night, they both desired the same things in life. After many wonderful years growing together, and truly getting to know one another, Jared surprised Hannah with a trip to Italy. In true Jared fashion he did so by making a full Italian meal from scratch in the place they call home, well dressed, cocktail in hand, with Italian music for the ambiance. Together they planned a wonderful trip, and of course Hannah knew exactly what was going to happen on this jaunt across the world. Jared popped the question in the small town of Peschici, Italy after the couple spent 6 hours driving across the country to get out of chaotic Rome. Jared knew when he saw the beach and the sun quickly setting it was "now or never". The couple rushed down the cliff side of the town overlooking the Adriatic Sea, Jared making sure they were far enough away from the public (per Hannah's request), got down on one knee and they both blacked out from nerves and excitement. To this day the couple still have no true idea what exactly happened until they started walking back along the beach, giggling while Jared "spilled the beans" on the entire wedding ring endeavour. Jared explained that he struggled to find the perfect ring box for his design, It wasn't until Hannah's Mother (Laurie) offered her Mother's (Rita) vintage silver ring box. It was the perfect meaningful touch to finish off an already great moment. The couple enjoyed a night of bar hopping through the beautiful town of Peschici while Hannah told anyone and everyone that they were engaged (still unsure if they even understood her). The couple spent the rest of their Italian vacation celebrating the next big step in there lives.
