We would choose the Safari over the Zoo in case you are stuck between the two. :) This is about an hour away from the wedding venue.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park

A coastal wilderness of pine forests and sandstone canyons, the park has a series of well-kept trails that wind along the cliffs offering breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. With both easy, family-friendly paths and more advanced trails, the park provides a great hiking experience for all levels. This is a favorite place to hike for the bride and groom! This is about an hour away from the wedding venue.

Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve

This is the closest beach to the venue, with it being about a 25 minute drive. :)
