it's finally happening!

With few other options in Jamestown on a summer night, we both separately decided to spend the evening doing what we all did best - going out with friends. The best choice this given night was the annual Gray Party, a very classy ... kegger, in typical Jamestown fashion. It is there where we ran into each other for the first time. We spent the night sharing drinks and eventually phone numbers, the rest of the details are pretty fuzzy. But the chemistry was pretty instant. We ended up spending most of that summer together enjoying the lake with friends and of course, maybe one too many nights at Shawbucks. Ever since that summer we have been pretty inseparable.

In 2013, Jeff graduated from Fredonia University with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice. He then moved in with Jerrica for the first time at her Prospect St. apartment. Jeffrey would start his first career with Seneca Allegany Casino surveillance department. That Christmas their family grew for the first time when Jeffrey gifted Jerrica their cat Cali [little did they know, she was pregnant and would give birth to 4 kittens that coming Valentine's Day]. In 2014, when Jerrica started working as the Athletic Director for an all-star cheerleading gym in Olean, NY they found themselves living in the tiny town of Hinsdale, NY. In 2016, with encouragement from Jeffrey, Jerrica returned to Jamestown Community College to further her education. That year our family became whole when we adopted our beloved rescue dog Camden. After graduating from JCC in 2018, came the big move to Philadelphia. Jeffrey took a job with Sugarhouse [Rivers] Casino in Philadelphia and Jerrica started her Bachelors in Biomedical Science, which she completed at The University of the Sciences in 2020. Today Jeff works for Harrah's Casino outside Philadelphia and Jerrica works for Schweiger Dermatology Group in the city.

After Jerrica impatiently waited [and begged] for many years, Jeffrey finally popped the question. It was a wonderful Fall afternoon, spent with Jeffrey's Dad at Princeton University for the Princeton homecoming football game. Go Tigers! When the game ended, despite Jerrica's growing complaints [due to poor decision making to wear heels to a football game] Jeffrey decided he needed to take Jerrica for a stroll around campus. Though she hoped and dreamed of this moment for a lifetime, she was none the wiser at that second. The walk eventually led to The Princeton University Chapel, perhaps with a few wrong turns along the way. This turned out to be the very spot Jeffrey's parents were married so many years before. Standing alone in the dark, lit only by a light over the church steps, Jeffrey got down on one knee and finally asked to spend forever with her. After begging for all those years, she somehow thought this might be a cruel joke. Bursting to tell the world, Jerrica called her Mom .. then her sister .. somehow everyone declined her calls. With no one to tell, the first people to hear the news was a small group of students passing by on the sidewalk!
