Weeks before Rob and Caitlin met, they already had one thing in common: they were both in the process of moving. Caitlin and her son Jackson were relocating back to Sacramento from New York and Rob was relocating from Rocklin to West Sacramento. Little did they both know, they would soon be living a short 15 minute drive from each other. Now for the love story. Rob and Caitlin like to tell people they met in the Safeway parking lot but of all places they met on a dating website.. They both agreed they did not have high expectations from online dating, but when RobtheBair messaged TripleC25 their assumptions began to change. A few weeks later after messaging and texting, Rob and Caitlin went on their first date to Mulvaney’s (Rob must have been trying to impress her). Caitlin was late as she always is and Rob started to think she may had been too good to be true. But Caitlin eventually arrived and she was greeted by the handsome “blonde haired guy in a blue shirt.” They had a nice dinner, drinks, and celebrated not only their first date but Rob closing escrow on his new house and later that evening his birthday. A few bars later and 7 hours into the night, their first date came to an end and the first night of the rest of their lives began.
Our home is across the street from the river and our date nights usually consist of walking along the river to somewhere in Downtown Sacramento. I mainly designed my engagement ring with Rob's approval (and budget). I knew it was being delivered within the coming weeks and I had a hunch when Rob would propose (I am a surprise ruiner). Well one evening, Rob, Jackson and I went for a walk to dinner. When we were almost to the Tower Bridge, we ran into one of my bridesmaids cousin who was "photographing an event in Old Sacramento." The last photo she needed was of a family, so she said. April started taking pictures of us as Rob got down on one knee and I was in shock that I fell for April's photography story. We continued to take pictures as we walked across the bridge to Mikuni where our family and friends were waiting for our arrival.
