Meet our party people, those who have been with us through it all...

Jessica Maganda

Maid of Honor

After knowing each other for so many years, it's hard to pick just one favorite photo to describe Sarah & Jessica! While technically married and should be a "Matron of Honor", Sarah feels that title isn't fitting for her fun, bright, and loving best friend, so "Maid of Honor" it is! Jessica & Sarah became friends almost instantly, and for what it seems like forever ago. During our many years of friendship, Jessica has been the definition of a true friend—we have shared what seems like every high, low, and everything in between. From the moments of pure joy to the tough times filled with tears and frustration (and questioning life choices while laying on our dining room floor), she’s always been my rock, offering unwavering support and love. Jessica has this incredible ability to love fiercely and pour that love into everyone lucky enough to be in her life. She’s not only helped me navigate life’s chaos but has also been instrumental in shaping the person I am today. Her kindness, wisdom, and loyalty make her one of a kind, and I’m endlessly grateful to have her as not just my best friend, but my chosen family.

Brittany Allsup

Maid of Honor

My friendship with Brittany is one of those rare and beautiful connections that feels effortless yet deeply meaningful. While we have not known each other that long, we formed an instant connection once meeting grounded in our Floridian-ness. While technically also a "Matron" the same thought applies for Brittany in that she is too young and fun loving for that title! Also, Brittany will be Officiating the ceremony in France. While frequently mistaken as each other, Brittany is much cooler than Sarah by far. She is the kind of person who keeps life real—she’s down to earth, always ready to share a laugh (and trust me, her sense of humor is unmatched), and has a way of making even the toughest days feel lighter. Brittany is also a culinary queen, and the master of "churchin' it up"-- her cooking is next-level and always made with love. We have bonded over our shared love of good food, great wine, and deep conversations that often leave me "feelin' seent". Brittany is not just my friend; she’s family.

Leigh Lacap

Best Man

Brother of the groom, and literal life-long best friend. Leigh is not only my older brother, but also my closest friend, mentor, artistic inspiration, therapist, you name it haha. There’s a different type of friendship between brothers, especially when you’re within two years of age. Leigh has always had my back and is a constant reminder to me that life doesn’t need to be so serious all of the time. Sometimes being an engineer can keep me uptight, analytical, and caught up in a world of corporate professionalism, but Leigh’s humor, contagious laugh, and his passion for the arts, music, and food & drink remind me to never lose sight of what I’m really passionate about in life. He’s the pilot light to the right side of my brain, and will never let me forget that I’m an artist at heart. A wine and cocktail savant in San Diego, Leigh is a celebrity in the restaurant, food & drink industry here in town. No, really, you can google search him haha. It’s an honor to have him as a brother, a best friend, and a best man on my wedding day.

Ian Crano

Ring Bearer

After initially meeting at work in 2013, Ian and Brandon became great friends right off the bat from their shared interest of the outdoors. With such a similar sense of humor and desire to take as much vacation away from work as possible, Brandon and Ian have built a solid friendship from years of backpacking, camping, and traveling. Ian has always been such a positive influence in Brandon’s life, and by influence we mean influencing Brandon to go on more vacations haha. Fast forward 10 years later, Brandon introduced Ian (and Ian’s awesome wife Jen) to Sarah at one of Brandon and Sarah’s favorite wine bars in San Diego, The Rose. Instantly hitting it off over great food and wine, Sarah knew that these were definitely her type of people. About a week after that dinner date, Ian invited both Brandon and Sarah to join him and Jen on a trip to celebrate Jen’s birthday. Next thing you know, Brandon and Sarah are on a plane with Ian and Jen a month and a half later en route to San Pancho, Mexico! Sometimes when you first meet someone you just immediately know that they’re going to bring positive vibes into your life…so who better than Ian to bring the positive vibes into the next chapter of Brandon and Sarah’s life by being the ring bearer?!

Tim Scott

Best Man

Childhood best friend of the groom. That one friend that can pick up right where you left off even after not talking to each other for like 6 years. That’s Tim! Exploding with personality, Tim is definitely one-of-a-kind. From years of camping, fishing, and cabin trips, I can always count on Tim to be the last one up with me around the campfire talking about life…or aliens…or the 4th dimension. Tim is the one friend that will always give me his honest opinion even when I don’t want to hear it haha. Everyone needs that one friend to keep things real and keep you honest, and I truly appreciate him for that. Never afraid to be himself, Tim has taught me that I should never be afraid of who I am and what others think. You would think that after decades of on and off communication and living in different cities would change a friendship, but not this one! I’m lucky to have Tim as a best friend, personality coach, and a best man even though he purposely broke my turtle aquarium in 4th grade. It’s okay though because I purposely broke his basketball hoop, so I guess we’re even.

Brian Tran

Officiant

Another case of coworker-turned-lifelong friend, Brandon first met Brian in 2018 at his current engineering firm, Dudek. Brandon never thought that he would meet someone with as many hobbies as himself…until Brian showed up. Naturally, this evolved into Brian convincing Brandon into spontaneously buying a $1700 pedal-driven fishing kayak, a myriad of fishing gear, and constantly getting up at 4am to lug his kayak out to San Diego Bay on a Saturday. Even after Brian left Dudek in 2021, Brandon and Brian continued to remain close friends, going on multiple fishing/camping trips. Similar to Ian, Brian was one of the first of Brandon’s friends that was introduced to Sarah...which just so happened to take place down in San Pancho when Brian and his amazing wife Lily met up with us for Jen’s birthday weekend (hopefully you read Ian’s bio above). After a weekend of tacos, tequila, and taking full advantage of the business class lounge on the travel back home with Brian and Lily, Sarah was immediately a fan of Brian’s energy, spontaneity, and his fun-loving “just buy the upgrade” personality. Brian has been such a genuine friend to both Sarah and Brandon, and his mentality to just do (or sometimes buy haha) what makes you happy just really hits different after working six 12-hr shifts in a row. We are absolutely honored to have Brian guide us into this next exciting chapter of our lives by being our officiant!

Lily Tran

Wedding Planner

Heaven sent and the keeper of Sarah's sanity, Lily has been not only a friend, but an integral part of making The 2025 Norton Lacap Blend a reality. Without her, we all would be standing around eating tacos in a park. No, really, this was our original plan to have a small courthouse wedding followed by a taco stand at the park haha…but after a long night of realizing we actually have no idea what we are doing, we thought to ourselves, “wouldn’t it be way better (and so much easier on our brains) to collaborate with Lily for both our San Diego civil ceremony AND our French Getaway?!” (Okay, this was actually just Sarah’s great idea so she gets the credit here). Anyway, let us tell you about Lily…Lily is truly a ‘boss’; working a 9 to 5 job as a project manager AND crushing it with her own wedding and event planning company on the side (www.slay-events.com)! Aside from an amazing resume, she’s an even more amazing friend. She’s the type of person that you meet that instantly makes you feel like you’ve been friends for years, the friend that you can talk to and laugh with for hours around the dinner table, authentically herself, and genuinely the epitome of good company! Ever since Sarah met her, Lily has always made her feel like she’s family. So of course it’s only appropriate that we include her in our “wedding party”. We are so lucky to have Lily in our lives and even more lucky to have her help us plan our dream wedding!
