Things To Do

If you've never been to the Costa Brava of Spain, you're in for a treat! There's stunning coastline, a wide array of beaches, hiking trails (think hilly), golfing, medieval walled villages, Roman and Greek ruins, world-class Michelin dining (home to the former El Bulli), and the famous Dalí Theatre-Museum to name a few highlights.

Beaches

These recommended beaches are all in the Begur region.

Hiking

The hiking in Costa Brava boasts incredible vistas but can be challenging. When hiking, leave early and be sure to carry water. Most hiking is moderate to somewhat difficult.

Golf

Championship golf is available in Costa Brava.

Medieval Villages

Romantic villages are practically at your back door.

Great Restaurants

There are a surprising number of Michelin star restaurants in Costa Brava, but most restaurants are exceptional with or without a star.

Ruins Empuries

The most famous Roman and Greek ruins in Catalonia are in the Costa Brava. Ruins Empuries is definitely worthwhile. Please note there is no shade, so be sure to where a hat, carry water, and try to arrive early in the day (check site for hours).

Dalí Theatre-Museum

The Dalí Theatre-Museum, is truly an experience! A combination of Dalí's original paintings, sculpture and performance art. Salvadore Dalí is even interred in the basement of the museum!
